Day 1: Hanoi arrival (D)

Welcome up on arrival by local tour guide and driver then we transfer to hotel. Relax in the rest of the day and enjoy welcome dinner for the first day of Vietnam Trip at a fine local restaurant in town.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B, L) (Joined Tour)

In the morning:

Today we will venture out to explore Hanoi. First up we will drive to the Ho Chi Minh complex where we will spend time at Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum (visit outside only), his former stilt-house, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum and One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 – the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Then continue on to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda at West Lake (One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam). Having lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon:

After lunch proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum, the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam, see Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070- it’s gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters, and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. At the end, journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you’ll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration.

We enjoy 1-hour cyclo tour of the French inspired “old quarter” and having water puppet show at late afternoon.

Day 3: Hanoi – Tam Coc Garden (B, L, D) (Joined tour)

In the morning:

Pick you up from your hotel or private address in Hanoi Old Quarter and departure to Ninh Binh. We arrive Tam Coc start your trip with a sampan rowed by a local for about 1,5 hours to explore Tam Coc, the limestone caves area stretching along Ngo Dong river which is known as “Halong Bay on the land” and enjoy the journey along the river with the peaceful scenery of special karst mountain surrounded with rice paddy and the sight of some ancient temples along the way. Having lunch will be served at the bungalow’s restaurant with Vietnamese cuisine before check-in bungalow

Biking to Thung Nham bird preserves garden:

We will visit a traditional Vietnamese family with three generations living together, take the chance to learn the village culture, the house architecture, the local daily life and their handicraft of embroidery. We will spend about 30 minutes with the host family then you will take a bike and start riding to Thung Nham bird preserves garden. On the cycling journey you will be passing through limestone mountains surrounded by rice paddy field.

Explore Thung Nham:

Arriving Thung Nham area, you will start to explore Hang Tien Ca (The Mermaid cave)  one of the most beautiful cave in Thung Nham area with magical view of the stalactites and stalagmites the cave will lead you from one side of the mountain to the other side. Get out of the cave following a trail to get to the boat dock where the small sampan will deliver you to the core of the bird garden, discover the most features of this area with more than 50.000 birds of 40 species flying to inhabit every day before cycling back to the host family for free time relax with afternoon tea break.

Day 4 () Local market – Hoa Lu Ancient Capital – Night train to Sapa (B, L)

Tam Coc- Hoa Lu:

Follow our tour guide to the local morning market you will learn some basic keywords of the Vietnamese when purchasing goods. Challenging yourself with the ingredients find and buy the game. After 30 – 45 minutes purchasing ingredients and exploring local culture at the market, we will walk back to the bungalow and get ready for the cooking class.

Our talented chef, with his rich cooking experience, will introduce you the basic principles of each course and how to make it. Now you will have an opportunity to experience in cooking yourself like a real Vietnamese chef.

Hoa Lu- Hanoi – Sapa:

Arrive in Hanoi, drop you back to your hotel or private address in Hanoi Hotel and have a short break before guide pick you up and moving to train station near hotel to have a night train to Sapa around 8:30 pm.

Note: you can choose hiking Mua cave instead of cooking class. Please let us know before the tour starts.

Day 5: Sapa - Lao Chai – Tavan – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa (B, L, D)

One of the highlight in Vietnam Trip is Sapa sightseeing:

Lao Cai- Sapa:

From Lao Cai train station, we move to Sapa for the new journey after having a short breakfast. The day is devoted to a beautiful hike through the breathtaking scenery of Sapa valley. Start by road that descends in the wake of the street Cau May (6 km) En route, admire the rice terraces hidden behind mist of the morning, a truly awe-inspiring sight.

Lao Chai – Ta Van:

Follow a small track and cross Muong Hoa River and pass well tend rice terraces on your way to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai.  Continuing through the colorful rice terraces you will reach the village of Ta Van Giay. As you continue your trek along the Muong Hoa River you will cross a small suspension bridge, roughly 2km from the settlement. Here you can discover a fascinating collection of rock carvings. These engravings depict some beautiful images of man, stilt houses and some beautiful decorative patterns. We lunch in a home in the village.

Giang Ta Chai:

After lunch the walk continues through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. After taking a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Sapa.

Day 6: Sapa – Fansipan – Sapa (B, L)

After breakfast, we will visit Fansipan Summit – which is considered ‘The Roof of Indochina’ which is 3143 meters high. Normally, it takes at least two or three days to reach the Peak of Fansipan Mountain on foot. However, with the newly three-rope cable car system we can see the peak and spectacular surrounding from the peak within half a day. The cable car ride will take around 20 minutes up to the top. After visiting the Fansipan Peak, we will be back to the town centre and have lunch.

We take the rest of day for investigating Sapa in your own way.

Day 7: Taphin – Sapa – Bus to Hanoi (B)

After breakfast, your journey will be mostly driving downhill toward Lao Cai, before taking a left turn into a small paved road leading to Taphin village. Here you can experience the unmixed cultural life of Black Hmong and Red Dao minorities, 2 largest ethnic groups in the area. They live happily together while maintaining their own tradition from generation to generation. You can recognise them by dressing while they are both very famous of handicraft. You will enjoy walking among local people. The trip also offers you the opportunity to visit the local houses. You will return Sapa by car.

Day 8 () Hanoi – Halong Bay (overnight on junk cruise) (B, L, D) (Joined Tour)

On the next day of Vietnam Trip, we spend time on visiting Halong:

Transfer – lunch – sightseeing:

Pick up at the hotel by cruise’s shuttle bus, we transfer to Halong Bay. On arrival at around noon, we will have 30-minute break before taking the tender to Oasis Party Cruise.

After checkin to your cabin, we enjoy a real Vietnamese lunch while the boat begins to cruise majestically through Halong Bay. There is a magic or an energy that we feel when cruising through the Bay that is just lovely and amazing. Passing by Stone Dog Islet, Floating Fishing Village, Incense Burner Islet, and Swan Islet, Duck Islet…

Kayak in the afternoon:

In the mid-afternoon, we spend at least 2 hours kayaking through the lagoon to explore the off—beaten-track area of Frog Pond in the fairy land of Halong Bay. We then have Sunset Party time with Boat Jumping and Swimming.

Around 6 pm, re-board the Party Cruise, take a shower, and relax. Dinner in the dinner room and relax with party time until late night.

Day 9: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)

We enjoy breakfast served in the dining room and enjoy a sunrise cruise in the breathtaking scenery of Halong. Around 9.30 AM, we’ll pack our things, leave the cabin and attend in a cooking demonstration while heading back to Tuan Chau Harbour. Enjoy lunch on boat before getting back to the tender to go back to the mainland. Get on shuttle bus and transfer back to Hanoi.

Day 10: Departure Hanoi (B)

After breakfast, we will be free until your driver arrives to take you to NoiBai airport for your deparure flight. Vietnam Trip ends.
